Our Christmas Tree Forest provides an ideal setting for group picnics, barbeques and outdoor gatherings for church groups, civic organizations and office parties. We have a picnic pavilion with a large tent canopy, tables, a new gas barbeque grill and a bonfire pit, and can accommodate groups of 25 to about 75 persons. We do hayrides for our guests, on a route through the woods and around our Christmas tree fields. Most groups prefer an evening event, beginning at about 6 pm. That is when the woods and fields are cloaked in their most beautiful sunset colors, the evening sky is a palette of pastel hues, and nature seems to pause for a special moment of tranquility between day and night. Can you imagine a better time to be sitting around a crackling bonfire with friends and family, some hot dogs sizzling on the coals, and a big Indian summer moon coming up for the hay ride?
Reservations must be made in advance. The cost is $7 per person, with a $175 minimum. Children under 3 are free. A $50 deposit is required at the time the reservations are made, and this deposit is non-refundable within 14 days of the event.
You are welcome and encouraged to bring your own food. So bring along the cooler full of hot dogs, burgers, and your other favorite barbeque delicacies, and roast 'em up on the grill. Then spread your feast out on our ample picnic tables for your gang. And don't forget to dress for the weather! Evenings can get quite cool in the Fall! A blanket for the hay ride might be a good idea.
